What is Chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to help the joints, muscles and pinched nerves work better in the body. Chiropractors adjust joints in the spine, ribs, arms, and legs helping them move better. Following treatment, the corrected joints function better and often relieve pain by decompressing the nervous system. In addition to pain relief, research shows that communication can be enhanced between the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves to the internal organs, joints, and muscles.
What you can expect:
On your initial visit you will first consult with Dr. Guarino. An examination will follow with orthopedic and neurological screening. For trauma cases such as auto accident victims, we can perform on site x-ray evaluation. Based on the above information gathered, your specific problem will be diagnosed and you will be treated the same day.
Once I start care, will I have to keep going back?
Treatment protocols are designed to provide the quickest recovery possible. Dr. Guarino encourages and directs patients to participate in their recovery with home exercises and stretches so that they can restore normal movement and function in as few doctor visits as possible.
How much time will a typical treatment take? Most treatments are gentle, painless and require 20-40 minutes to complete.
What about the costs? Do you accept insurance?
Yes. We will be happy to bill your insurance company on your behalf. Dr. Guarino is a provider in several health care plans including BCBS, Cigna, Humana, HealthNet, Aetna, Medicare and many others.
