Dr. Guarino is an Arizona licensed chiropractic physician in north Phoenix, AZ at 32nd St. and E. Beardsley Rd near the Loop 101 and State Route 51. He holds all specialty certifications offered by the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
He has over 29 years experience treating patients as a 1994 graduate of National University Health Sciences, formerly the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL.
Dr. Guarino served as an AZ Governor appointed board member for the AZ Board or Chiropractic Examiners (2012 to 2023). The licensing board both issues and when necessary revokes AZ chiropractic licenses. He was honored to be appointed to the Board by Governor Jan Brewer in 2012 and reappointed by Governor Ducey in 2018 for a second 5 year term.
Dr. Guarino is the AZ Delegate to the American Chiropractic Association, the nation's largest professional chiropractic association.
As past president and current member of the non-profit Arizona Association of Chiropractic, he has worked hard to advocate for both doctors and patients.
Originally from Chicago, Dr. Guarino moved to AZ in 1997 and founded BackPro Chiropractic & Nutrition, P.C. in 2000.
"I was inspired to choose a career as a chiropractor from my experiences as a patient. As a child I needed back pain relief and was diagnosed with a spinal disorder called scoliosis by my chiropractor. My chiropractor effectively managed my shoulder pain and sciatica enabling my continued participation in martial arts and gymnastics.
My philosophy is simple; treat patients the way I want to be treated.
I believe my experiences as a patient provide me with excellent insight as to the needs of my patients. Your required treatment frequency will be evaluated weekly rather than using pressure sales tactics like signing up patients on prepaid long term treatment contracts.
We respect your privacy by utilizing individual treatment rooms rather than using open adjusting suites. We feel your privacy is important so we don't allow others to observe your treatment or listen in on confidential doctor to patient conversations.
