Dr. Guarino is an Arizona licensed chiropractic physician in northern Phoenix, AZ. He holds all specialty certifications offered by the Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
In June 2012, he had the honor of receiving appointment by Governor Jan Brewer as a professional member for the state of AZ, Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman on this licensing board that issues and revokes chiropractic licenses.
Richard Guarino, D.C. volunteers and represents AZ chiropractors in the largest national chiropractic professional organization: the American Chiropractic Association.
He is a recent past president of the Arizona Association of Chiropractic (AAC). AAC is a non-profit doctor and patient advocacy group.
Dr. Guarino, D.C. is a 1994 graduate of the National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL.
Originally from Chicago, he moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1997 then founded BackPro Chiropractic & Nutrition, P.C. in 2000.
"I was originally inspired to choose a career as a chiropractor from my experiences as a patient. As a child I needed back pain relief and was diagnosed by a chiropractor with a spinal disorder called scoliosis. My chiropractor effectively managed my shoulder pain and sciatica enabling my continued participation in martial arts and gymnastics.
Our philosophy is simple; treat patients the way we will like to be treated.
I believe my experiences as a patient provide me with excellent insight as to the needs of my patients. Because of this we offer weekly treatment plans rather than "signing" patients up on long term care contracts.
Also, we respect your privacy by utilizing individual treatment rooms rather than using "open" adjusting suites. We feel your privacy is important so we don't allow others to observe your treatment or listen in on confidential conversations with Dr. Guarino D.C.
