What you can expect:
On your initial visit to our Phoenix, AZ chiropractic clinic you will meet with Dr. Richard Guarino, D.C.

A thorough consultation will be performed to be sure the right questions are asked about your conditions.  Next, an examination will follow with orthopedic and neurological screening.  For trauma cases such as auto accident victims, we can perform on site x-ray evaluations. Based on the above information gathered, your specific problem will be diagnosed and you will be treated the same day.  Treatments can include hot moist packs with electrical muscle stimulation, massage, chiropractic adjustments, and acupuncture.

Once I start care, will I have to keep going back?
Treatment protocols are designed to provide the quickest recovery possible.  Some chronic conditions such as sciatica, headaches, neck pain, lower back pain and spinal disc herniations require more treatment than others. Dr. Richard Guarino, D.C. encourages and directs patients to participate in their recovery with home exercises and stretches so that they can restore normal joint movement and experience relief of joint pain and arthritis pain in as few treatment visits as possible.

How much time will a typical treatment take?
Most treatments are gentle and  require 20-40 minutes to complete.

What is Chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to help the joints, muscles and pinched nerves work better in the body. Chiropractors adjust painful joints in the spine, ribs, arms, and legs helping them move better. Following treatment, the corrected joint motion allows better function and often relieves pain by decompressing the nervous system.  In addition to joint pain relief, research shows that communication can be enhanced between the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves to the internal organs, joints, and muscles.  Common conditions and symptoms treated by chiropractors include neck pain and lower back pain, sciatica, carpal tunnel, rotator cuff and shoulder pain, arthritic joint pain, and headaches.
